With Math Marathon, children of all primary grades will be able to use ordinal numbers to solve problems posed orally. Solve problems that involve the mental or written calculation of products in digits, as well as solve those that involve multiplying and dividing through various procedures. Solve distribution problems whose result is a fraction, identify equivalent factors, greater or less than unity. Identify problems that can be solved with multiplication and use the conventional algorithm when necessary. Solve problems that involve calculating the perimeter and area of any rectangle, based on the measure of its sides, use mental calculation to obtain the difference of two natural numbers of up to two digits, identify parallel, perpendicular and intersecting lines, as well as acute, right and obtuse angles. Calculate the perimeter and area of triangles and quadrilaterals, explain the similarities and differences between the decimal number system and a positional or non-positional system. Solve problems that involve identifying the regularity of sequences with arithmetic or geometric progression.
